Follow your Bliss! Is what some people will say,
But Bliss is like sunbeams on a cold cloudy day.
Wherever you look it is slipping away
The harder you try to follow your heart…
the more people aim to rip you apart
Till whatever you seek seems slight and mundane
And your spirit is aching to feel something again.
Ignorant Bliss… is that what we should follow?
Like lambs who are following pigs to their wallow.
Smiling and joking, all so very shallow!
Nevertheless they are following still,
Switching their tails, and sipping the swill.
I think I would rather feel sadness and pain,
Than delight and elation with nothing to gain.
